This quote means that to choose the right people to be around with.

For example if you choose to hang out with friends that drink. People that drink are the type of people that you shouldn't hang out with.  Those type of people are the people that choose the wrong. An example of a good friend is people that don't do bad things. Hanging out with people that do good is better. Doing bad things will lead you to negative consequences. Doing right things won't lead you to that it will lead you to a good path. It always important to choose your friends wisely.
